  778.         When I first read about the DISCUS educational discs and even
  779.     when I typed the above paragraph and the descriptions of the other
  780.     books in the series, I didn't really understand the concept.  Well
  781.     now I have seen the series on CDTV and also watched my children
  782.     getting to grips with them, they are very well thought out and
  783.     have been done well.  The screen looks just like a picture
  784.     story-book, the child can click on any part of the picture and the
  785.     word will appear and a voice will tell you what the item was you
  786.     clicked-on.  On the opposite side the story is laid out, the child
  787.     can allow the character to read the story in full, page by page or
  788.     only the words that are difficult.  The option which I found
  789.     helpful was that the child can click on a word and that word is
  790.     read and then the explanation on the meaning of the word is also
  791.     read, this means of course that the child can understand what they
  792.     are reading or having read to them.  I feel that the DISCUS range
  793.     is an extremely useful reading tool for children as well as a fun
  794.     way of learning, it doesn't replace the parents of course but it
  795.     does give some variation.  Oh, another thing, it isn't just in
  796.     English either, so it has another benefit also.

  2211.     are expecting the same brilliant graphics and sound as the demo.
